In excellent condition measurements are 10 1/2 inches in diameter scalloped around the edges a traditional classic pattern The beautiful Spode Buttercup pattern is hand decorated transferware under glaze, on the Chelsea Wicker Shape, which is a lovely, timelessly in-style, raised wicker sculpted ceramic beside a scallop-shaped rim. The transferware pattern comes from a hand engraving created in the 1890s. The older brown backstamp shown here was stamped on Spode Buttercup plates produced between the early 1950s and 1970s.
